A festival celebrating light art and practices
More than a symposium
LUMEN is an international festival celebrating the arts and practices whose means of expression are light and obscurity. Happening every 2 years, the 2025 edition will take place this Autumn in Geneva, Switzerland.
LUMEN, being the word designating the unity for light particles, defines the intensity of both natural (sun, etc.) and artificial (LEDs, lasers, projectors, etc.) light sources.
The festival program includes fantastic light sculptures, mesmerizing mapping performances, and original workshops with renowned experts.
Already through it’s communication, LUMEN invites its audience to immerse themselves and become sensible to the light plays around them. We encourage you to look around and play with our digital and printed communication.
In between editions
In between edition’s LUMEN invites everyone to participate in an OPEN CALL on it’s social platforms and share some light plays they saw and filmed / photographed. LUMEN wants to show and share the beauty of light and shadows, showing that both are necessary.
